Samsung Galaxy Tabs installed on The London Eye

In a move likely to boost the tourism value of The London Eye, management organization EDF Energy has announced it will be installing Galaxy Tab devices within all of the giant wheel’s viewing pods.
The decision to provide visitors with access to Samsung’s acclaimed touch-screen tablet has been made with a view to enabling a sense of attraction-based interaction that goes beyond mere ocular appreciation.
“By doing this, [visitors] can access key information about 55 famous London landmarks, 24 hour time-lapse photography, 360 degree day and night views from The London Eye,” EDF outlined in an official statement.
The tablets will also provide “bird’s eye views of some of the key landmarks as well as a unique ‘look inside’ some of the structures for a unique perspective,” it added.
According to EDF, the embracing of tablet technology came after months of research, during which time thousands of visitors were asked how they thought the overall London Eye experience could be best enhanced.
