The tech-loving folks over at Samsung have this week revealed a little extra incentive for those prospective buyers currently eyeing up the recently launched Galaxy S II smartphone.

Specifically, Samsung is offering up Smart View, an exclusive mobile application that works in conjunction with Samsung Smart TVs and enables users to transfer content directly to their Galaxy S II handsets.

The mobile entertainment app requires a Wi-Fi connection and can handle all types of media, whether it be a standard TV signal, footage from a Blu-ray disc, or even an Internet stream.

“Samsung Smart TV is leading the ‘smart revolution’ not only with the features of Smart TV itself—such as rich content, 2D and 3D picture quality, smart functions and design—but also with input devices using our Qwerty smart remote control, the Samsung Remote App, and now with Smart View,” said Guy Kinnell, Samsung UK’s marketing director for TV.

In order to take advantage of Smart View, you’ll first need a Galaxy S II smartphone and one of Samsung’s D7000 or D8000 series Smart TVs.

Although presently restricted to the Galaxy S II in terms of compatibility, Samsung is expected to expand Smart View’s reach to include other branded devices such as the Galaxy Tab computer and original Galaxy S handset.
