Fancy buying into Sony’s handheld gaming platform but thus far unmoved by the hardware on offer? If so, you’re ears may be pricked following news that Sony is looking to ramp up consumer temptation with no less than five brand new PlayStation Portable (PSP) bundles.
Although likely to be restricted to the Japanese market (imports notwithstanding), all of the fresh-faced, limited-time bundles include the PSP 3000 model as opposed to the recently redesigned slide-screen PSP Go, which suggests Sony is keen to get rid of any remaining stockpiles of its older hardware.
Four of the five PSP offers are described as ‘Value Pack’ bundles insofar as they come with the PSP 3000, a 4GB Memory Stick, a screen cloth and a PSP carry pouch. Available in colour choices of Piano Black, Vibrant Blue, Radiant Red, and Pearl White – the Value bundles will hit on December 03 for a price of 19,800 yen each.
The final aptly named Hunters Pack bundle will also carry a Vibrant Blue version of the PSP 3000 along with accompanying software courtesy of Capcom’s hugely popular Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G. Due to arrive on December 10, the Hunters Pack will cost 18,500 yen.
