During a live concert at the Echoplex in Los Angeles, soul legend Stevie Wonder took a moment between extravagant vocal runs to send well wishes and thanks to ailing former Apple boss Steve Jobs.

Addressing the captivated nightclub audience, the iconic blind-since-birth singer and songwriter was keen to acknowledge the contributions made by Jobs in ensuring Apple’s iOS-powered devices are fully accessible to those with disabilities.

“His company took the challenge in making his technology accessible to everyone,” said a thankful Wonder regarding the positive effect Jobs has had on his own relationship with modern devices.

“There’s nothing on the iPhone or iPad that you can do that I can’t do,” he added. “As a matter of fact, I can be talking to you, you can be looking at me, and I can be doing whatever I need to do and you don’t even know what I’m doing!”

Some of the accessibility features available to the disabled include VoiceOver, which provides audio descriptions of on-screen items selected beneath a navigating finger, the Bluetooth Braille keyboard and, of course, Facetime video calls.
