With the recently covered myTouch, CLIQ and Behold II handsets already set to bolster the portfolio of T-Mobile as it steadily expands its Android-equipped handsets, the powerhouse carrier has this week rolled out yet more mobile platforms armed with the Google-backed open-source operating system.

Adding to what T-Mobile claims is “the broadest selection of Android-powered devices,” the telecommunications heavyweight is offering up a selection of appealing devices armed with high-speed 3G connectivity, options for personalisation, and easy-to-use Web browsing.

First up is the Tap, which is a stylish little number that delivers touch-screen functionality, T-Mobile’s web2go online services, a 2.0 mega pixel camera with video capture and playback, a built-in music player, onboard GPS with TeleNav support, and Bluetooth connectivity. Available in either berry or midnight blue, the compact Tap is expected to arrive before the close of 2009.

Next to brave the mobile phone catwalk is the Nokia 3711, a feature-rich, flip handset “with a unique hidden-until-lit external display,” T-Mobile web2go, built-in GPS navigation with support through Nokia Maps, a 2.0 mega pixel camera with video capture, Bluetooth and the Series 40 operating system. Expected to arrive by the end of October, the fast and functional Nokia 3711 will be available in a sassy sable finish.

Prices for the aforementioned T-Mobile arrivals have not yet been announced.
