If there’s one thing that puts us off 3D mobile computing—more than the embarrassment of dodging bullets while watching an action flick in public—it’s the prospect of looking like a dolt in cumbersome 3D glasses.
Well, consumer electronics specialist Toshiba has now removed that particular annoyance after revealing its Qosmio F750 3D, which is more than willing to display three-dimensional content without the need for unattractive Buddy Holly bins.
Set to hit retail outlets in August of this year, the glasses-free F750 3D comes attached to a pretty substantial price of $2,100 USD, for which prospective buyers can look forward to a 15.6-inch 3D display (1920x1280) and the overt muscle of Intel’s Core i7 processor. Woof.
Other contributing aspects include a 640GB hard drive (HDD), a massive 6GBs of DDR3 RAM, and NVIDIA’s oomph-worthy GeForce GT540 graphics solution, all of which make the notebook perfect for high-end multimedia and gaming.
“The Qosmio F750 3D’s state-of-the-art lenticular screen sends Qosmio F750 3D displays 3D images without the need for glasses,” trumpets Toshiba in its official release. “Eye-tracking technology ensures [the] 3D effect works regardless of position.”
“The Qosmio F750 3D can also display 2D and 3D content simultaneously, allowing users to browse the Internet, for example, in one window and have 3D content playing in another window.”
Helping justify its high price, the F750 3D comes with an integrated webcam, Harmon Kardon speakers, Dolby Advanced Audio, a built-in Blu-ray drive, Wi-Fi connectivity, and the usual array of exterior ports.
In short, we wants one.
