Looking to revel in a genuine ‘cinema-wide’ television experience, but perhaps aren’t willing to re-mortgage your home or work the streets for such a device? Then weaken the grip you currently have on the consumer entertainment purse strings and take a tempting glance at VIZIO’s new XVT Pro Series.
Described as boasting advanced HDTV technology, panel sizes associated with the new XVT Pro line stretch to an absolutely eye-popping 74-inches – while all include SPS TruLED, an impressive 480Hz refresh rate, and an aspect ratio of 16 x 9.
If you have the necessary space for such a behemoth, the upper-tier 72-inch model also comes with Full HD3D, 480 zones of Smart Dimming, built-in wireless HDMI, five HDMI 1.3 outputs, SRS Audio, and VIZIO Internet Apps support – for just $3,499 USD (MSRP).
If that asking price is a little too steep, or the living room simply doesn’t afford you the space, then perhaps the ‘smaller’ models will be more to your liking. For a cost of $2,499 USD, the 55-inch XVT Pro differs only in that it offers 120 zones of Smart Dimming, while the $1,999 USD edition has a 47-inch screen and 160 zones of Smart Dimming.
“We at VIZIO are setting new standards for picture quality and user experience,” trumpeted Laynie Newsome, co-founder and vice president of sales and marketing at California-based VIZIO.
“50% of consumers want a 3D home theater, according to Quixel Research, and our new XVT Pro Series brings the latest technology to consumers who want the absolute BEST in class,” she added.
Adding weight of temptation to those prospective buyers eager to enjoy a real cinematic home experience, VIZIO also has the 58-inch XVT Pro Razor LED Cinema Display with Smart Dimming. Providing a 21 x 9 aspect ratio and a screen resolution of 2560 x 1080, the Cinema Display enables 2.35:1 film viewing without intrusive black bars and also includes 1 million to 1 Mega Dynamic Contrast Ratio, 120Hz Smooth Motion, built-in wireless HDMI and support for VIZIO Internet Apps.
VIZIO has not yet revealed its pricing for the 58-inch beast, although that information gap will likely be filled when it’s placed beneath the spotlight at this week’s CES in Las Vegas.
