Why anyone would ever need more than one smartphone at a time is, frankly, beyond us, but—if you happen to be that much of a gadget whore—we suggest you read the following, and then perhaps seek professional help.

Starting from this Friday (Feb. 10), American telecommunications giant Verizon Wireless will be selling the sexy Motorola Droid RAZR handset as part of a limited-time ‘buy one, get one free’ purchase deal. Madness.

With a price of $199.99 USD—which, we admit, is mighty tempting—the offer is likely to appeal to the aforementioned free-spending technophiles, couples in the market for new smartphones, hen-pecked parents, cash-addled teens, or those who simply cannot resist a bargain.

Although Verizon has not yet said when the two-for-one deal will come to a close, it has confirmed that each of the handsets will be tethered to a mandatory two-year data contract.

In terms of appeal beyond the price, Motorola’s Android-powered RAZR boasts a super-svelte profile of just 0.28 inches, and packs a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, a spacious 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen, and front and rear cameras (1.3 and 8.0 mega pixels respectively).

Actually, upon reflection, we want one. No, we want two.
