With mouth-watering version names such as ‘Gingerbread’ and ‘Honeycomb’, it’s safe to say that Google’s market-leading Android mobile operating system (OS) is pretty darn tasty.
And with ‘Ice Cream Sandwich’ expected as the next official tweak to the search titan’s software recipe, we thought you might like to take a moment to inspect some of its core ingredients.
Pointless quips aside, a video clip showcasing Ice Cream Sandwich has appeared online after a fortuitous eBay buyer found it running on his freshly bought Samsung Nexus S smartphone.
According to Engadget, the handset’s owner has since confirmed that his Nexus S was remotely locked and wiped shortly after the leaked OS video went live online. Here’s hoping he/she can get their money back on that particular purchase.
Although Google has not yet confirmed exactly when Ice Cream Sandwich will be available for the mobile market, industry watchers believe it should be ready during Q4 of this year.
