Whether you refer to it as Sasquatch, the missing link, or merely a convenient source of tourist dollars, there’s always some sensationalist fun to be had with the legend of Bigfoot.

Case in point, a young woman in the United States claims to have captured definitive video footage of the mythical creature while enjoying a trek through dense parkland with friends.

The woman in question, who’s only revealed herself to the media as ‘Samantha’, says she was filming a group hike through Downriver Park in Spokane when her iPhone’s camera picked up the elusive beast.

Speaking with local news outlet KXLY, Samantha explained that none of the party spotted the creature’s nearby presence and she herself only noticed it upon watching the footage at home.

“I have never given it much thought, but now I’m not so sure,” she replied when asked if she believed in Bigfoot prior to the incident. “Seems real enough to me.”

A YouTube clip showing the fortuitously secured footage has already been viewed more than 600,000 times by both believers and sceptics. Check it out for yourself by clicking below.
