In yet more Sony Ericsson news, the soon-to-be-disbanded technology partnership looks set to end with a definite bang—courtesy of a new and sexy Xperia “super phone” handset.
That’s according to a product leak offered up by XperiaBlog, which outlines the imminent arrival of an Android-powered platform equipped with a muscular 1.5GHz processor, a spacious 4.55-inch screen, and a rear-facing 13 mega-pixel camera with LED flash.
Initially spied online through the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), the Xperia ‘LT28at’ is described as having tablet-like specs that include a 720p Reality Display screen, a capacitive touch interface, and support connectivity across LTE, HSPA and TD-SCDMA.
Although it’s not currently known whether the phone will include a front-facing camera (likely), the new Xperia is expected to have dual microphones (2.4GHz and 5.0GHz), Wi-Fi (a/b/g/n) and Bluetooth version 2.1.
Sony Ericsson is, of course, keeping tightlipped regarding the LT28at (surely a codename). That said, we suppose it will be pushed front and center come January’s annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
