Gadget whores that we are here at The Tech Herald, we simply couldn’t let the week slide out of view without throwing another tablet computer across your ever-willing eye line—so, take a gander at this:
Shifting its stance as a budget-friendly maker of mobile phones, China-based ZTE has followed the recent unveiling of its (really quite promising) Tania smartphone with this, the new ZTE Light Tab 2 (V9A) tablet.
Putting its thoroughly dull branding to one side, the 7.0-inch Light Tab 2 comes attached to a tempting price of just £235 GBP and offers a set of features that somewhat belie its accessible retail tag.
For example, there’s a combination of Google Android (v2.3) and a 1.4GHz processor beating at the heart of this slab, which are ably supported by 4GBs of internal data storage, 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, 512MBs of RAM, and a 3400mAh battery. Not bad. Not bad at all.
Factor in a capacitive 1024x600 touch-screen display, a rear-facing 3.2 mega-pixel camera, a front-facing 0.3 mega-pixel camera, HSPA (2100/900MHz), microSD data expansion through to 32GBs, and ZTE’s latest suddenly looks pretty appealing. It’s not bad on the eye, either.
The ZTE Light Tab 2 (V9A) is available for pre-order now via Clove and is expected to arrive before the close of February.
