Would an iPhone 6 survive a drop from the edge of space…well 101,000 feet?
Case maker Urban Armor Gear decided to try out their product and launched a balloon carrying a phone wrapped in one of their composite cases, without a screen protector.
They carried out the test late last year and the film shot with 2 GoPro cameras, some backup GPS and a parachute.
Temperatures went down to -79 degrees Fahrenheit and there were 70mph winds.
The low temperatures shut the phone down but it was powered up on landing and worked fine, having travelled some 12 miles
Now go drop one without a parachute and we will be impressed!
